UGG Fluff Yeah Sandal Review

I'm somewhat late to the UGG Fluff Yeah slipper sandals hype, but now that it's on my style radar, I'm obsessed. I adore it so much that I'm sharing my thoughts on quality and sizing in this review. You may have seen Gigi Hadid, Cardi B, or Sasha Lane wearing the super comfortable Fluff Yeah sandal. In true UGG form, it's as cozy and plush as a winter slipper. The bold UGG graphic logo on its elastic heel strap sets it apart from all other UGG styles you may have seen, and gives it a sporty streetwear vibe. Wear it with workout gear, your favorite jeans, or your coziest loungewear. What I love most about the UGG Fluff Yeah sandal is that not only does it feel amazing on your feet, but it also keeps them warm (even without socks). It comes in a wide array of pretty colors, including pastels, animal prints, striped multi-color versions, and dark neutrals.

This UGG Fluff Yeah color pictured above is called Atlantic and it's discontinued. Each season, new colors are released. They generally sell out within a month, and sometimes colors are discontinued forever.

The leopard print version pictured below is one of my favorites. It adds a playful vibe to any loungewear look.

Quality

The Fluff Yeah has a sheepskin lining and insole, making it a luxurious sandal. At $100, it's an investment, but well worth it if you plan to wear them frequently.The small platform wedge offers both height and comfort. These sandals deliver the comfort and quality that UGG is beloved for. They are lightweight but sturdy, making them perfect for travel. Shopping tip: search your favorite mobile selling apps for new and discounted versions or get them here with free shipping and free returns.

Sizing

In my experience, the UGG Fluff Yeah sandal sizing runs slightly big in terms of footbed length. I'm a true 7 in the UGG Classic mini boots and many other UGG styles. In the Fluff Yeah, I can sometimes wear a 6. I have short toes, so that's also a factor in sizing down. If you are going to wear them with socks, if your feet are wide, or if you have longer toes, then take your true shoe size. I have a couple of pairs in my true size 7 that work well with socks in the colder months. 

New for 2020 - Oh Yeah

With the popularity of the Fluff Yeah, UGG has recently introduced a similar sandal called the Oh Yeah sandal. Confused? Don't be. It looks like a mash-up between the Fuzz Yeah and the Fluff Yeah. The Oh Yeah has two straps across the foot (like the Fuzz Yeah), and the elastic strap (like the Fluff Yeah). I'm betting that the Oh Yeah will be a top seller for UGG. It comes in nice spring/summer colors such as yellow, coral, mint, lilac (called California Aster), grey (Soft Amethyst), and black. Shop the lavender color here.

Winter 2020 Holiday Accessories Trend Forecast and Gift Guide

As the holiday season approaches, it's time to delve into the Fashion Snoops Holiday 2020 fashion trend accessories forecast. There are three Fashion Snoops themes for the holiday 2020 season that I'll be sharing here. They are called: Belle Noel, Yuletide Cheer, and Keepsake. Let's take a closer look at each theme, including mood boards, color palettes, and key items. With each theme, I'll be sharing holiday 2019 gift guides for each trend so that you can get holiday shopping ideas and inspiration.

1. Belle Noel

Inspired by the Fashion Snoops Fall/Winter 2020/2021 forecast Resonance, Belle Noel transports us to Christmas morning in Versailles. Gilded glamour is grounded by antiqued touches, highlighting a gentle color palette inspired by Rococo art and architecture. Gold finishes and floral motifs bring us into a world of wintertime decadence, grounded by a union of antiquity and contemporary.

The color palette includes a saturated "teaberry" shade, pale neutrals called "vow" and "hemp", as well as a deep green named "euphoria."

The cozy beanie, mini bags, and bow barrettes are key items.

2. Yuletide Cheer

This theme brings a joyous and bright twist to the holiday season. Pastel hues are carried throughout the story, adding a youthful sentiment that allows us to relive our childhood memories of this special time of year. Accessories are full of soft yet colorful tones and infused with cozy vintage elements, enhanced by plush textures perfect for the winter months. With its handmade elements, this story allows us to get creative with our traditions.

The color palette includes a saturated red called "heat glow", as well as some soft pastels and a bold pink called "fete." The Halogen x Atlantic-Pacific collection is a perfect example of the Yuletide Cheer theme.

Key items are the sweater scarf, cocktail ring, and statement headband in faux fur.

3. Keepsake 

Inspired by the F/W 20/21 forecast Clarion, this story is a sophisticated take on soft earthiness. Taking influence from contemporary lodge living, this holiday theme keeps traditions alive by indulging in traditional craftsmanship that interplays with modern-day functionality and appeal. Keepsake is about mixing nature and industrial glam together to form something that can be treasured by one and all. 

The color palette is earthy and filled with neutrals such as "mushroom," "secret," and "orbit."

Key items are the bucket bag, leather beret, and leather gloves.

How To Wear The Tie Dye Trend

The recent resurgence of tie dye on the spring and fall 2019 runways wasn't exactly good news to me. While I really love color, when it comes to print, I'm more of a floral or paisley girl. Tie dye typically reminds me of tourist T-shirts and childhood D.I.Y. projects involving buckets of dye and messy results. The more I see tie dye in stores, though, I have to admit that it's slowly growing on me. This season, it's decidedly more grown up and understated than the psychedelic hippie versions of the 1970s. No bell bottoms or headache-inducing colors here. Think grunge 3.0 meets free-spirited hippie with a softer, more sophisticated edge. 

Here's a look at three of my favorite runway tie dye looks.

The key to making tie dye modern is wearing it in updated color combinations and adding feminine flourishes such as lace. For a casual take on the tie dye trend, I love the simplicity of a tie dye tee or hoodie with shorts or faded denim for spring and summer.

Women's 2020 Denim Trend Forecast

In August of 2018 I shared a post with four key Women's fashion trends for fall 2019 and winter 2020. In this post, I'll be four featuring important denim trends (via New York-based trend agency Fashion Snoops) as they relate to the four trend themes in the aforementioned post. 

1. Rebuild (Pioneertown)

The Pioneertown trend story is all about living a simpler life with core values and nostalgia. There are rustic materials, quilting techniques, re-purposed vintage, and a small town mentality. The vibe is New Old West with a '70s influence. For denim, that means overalls with square pockets and a wide leg, paperbag waists, flares with a self belt, and tapered fits with whiskered finishing.

2. New World (Horizon)

The Horizon story focuses on discovery, tech materials, utility, futurism, and cocoon-like details. Blues are key, as are pops of color. Denim trends include cropped silhouettes with kick flare hemlines, jumpsuits in a baggy fit, skinny jeans with side slits, and cargo denim with a high waist.

3. Oracle (The Enchanted)

The Enchanted is a dark, romantic, and mystical theme. There are jewel tones, rich materials, and materials such as velvet or lace. Colors are rich purples and blues. For denim, this translates to skinny silhouettes with high waists, cropped skinny jeans with feather hemlines, straight leg styles in bright colors, and cropped flares in dark floral prints.

4. Trigger (Switch)

Switch is heavily influenced by the '80s, with strong architectural lines, tailoring, an active influence, metallics, and exaggerated volume. There is vinyl, mixed media, and bright neon colors. The denim in this theme includes baggy styles with embellishment, straight legs with color blocking, kick flares with contrast stitching, and tapered fits with a high rise.
