UGG Maxi Slide Sandals Review

As the weather warmed up this season, I found myself in search of a platform slide for wearing at home that was comfortable without being too warm for the summer months. Enter UGG's newest sport sandal, the UGG Maxi slide. It's got a 2.5" platform, a soft puffer textile upper, and a very plush footbed. It comes in many colors, animal prints, and bold graphic logo versions. At $120 to $130, they are not a purchase to be taken lightly, but they are worth it in my opinion (especially if you plan to wear them often). I have a new pair and I'll be sharing my experiences with the UGG Maxi slide fit, quality, and sizing in this review.

I got the UGG Maxi slide logo sandals in white since white is the color that I'd wear the most. Since I wear mine at home, I don't have to worry about getting them dirty.

Appearance and Performance

The UGG Maxi slide has a sporty look, thanks to the quilted and padded textile uppers that echo the look of a winter puffer jacket. The lightweight EVA outsole has nice traction and makes them ideal for wearing both at home and outdoors. They are not heavy, making them a breeze to walk in. The footbed is plush without being too warm or sweaty on spring days. They are like a slipper and sandal rolled into one. I really love these and I'm considering a second pair. Perhaps in this pink scallop or cobble grey?

Quality and Sizing

Unlike the UGG Fluffita slides, in which the curly sheepskin footbed flattens with wear, the UGG Maxi slides are less prone to the flattened appearance. Both styles fit securely over the foot, making them easy and stable to walk in. The footbed is made of 10mm of sheepskin, and the lining is a comfortable textile. As far as sizing, for me, the UGG Maxi slide runs true to size. If you are between sizes or have wide feet, then I would size up. I wear mine both with and without socks. They are perfect with socks for the cool spring nights and work well barefoot on warmer days.
