A Week in Paris

It's been a dream of mine to visit Paris for many years. Last week my dream came true, and I was able to spend a week exploring the streets and sights of Paris. Despite some setbacks including a canceled flight and catching a cold, I managed to check quite a few things off of my to-do list.

Memorable highlights for me include: touring the opulent Opera Garnier, gawking at the colorful and creative visual displays at Au Printemps and the Galeries Lafayette, losing track of time on the charming Île Saint-Louis, overdosing on Ladurée macarons and Darjeeling tea, dodging raindrops at Versailles, stumbling upon a colorful street market, sampling escargot at a brasserie, not getting lost on the Metro and RER trains, having a leisurely lunch at the Eiffel Tower, picking up French beauty products at the ubiquitous and well-stocked pharmacies, getting lost in Le Marais during a lively happy hour, and shopping at new favorite fast fashion stores Etam, Promod, and Bershka.
