Mossimo blazer, batik print top, James Jeans, Mossimo Supply Co. fringe bag, and Topshop boots
I dug up this old beret that was in heavy rotation circa 2008 for an unusually gusty day when a ponytail seemed like too obvious an option. Besides practical headwear, my most recent style obsession, the cropped tweed blazer, has been making a strong showing in my winter-to-spring transitional outfits. This collarless version (just like the gray one I'm wearing in this post) was a sale score after much internal debate about this particular shade of coral-meets-orange-red. (When it comes to red, I tend to prefer cooler shades of the hue, such as blue-based reds.) Interestingly enough, after attending a few trend and color forecasting seminars last month at MAGIC Market Week, it seems as though orange-red is here to stay, and I'm ready to embrace it.
