When it comes to dresses, I think the fit and flare silhouette (a.k.a. "skater" dress) is a universally flattering style. It cinches in at the waist, flares out slightly at the hip, and creates the illusion of an hourglass silhouette. I've been stocking up on lace skater dresses the past few weeks, since they work well for both casual days (worn with a crochet sweater and low-heeled ankle boots or even Converse) and for dressed-up nights on the town (worn with platforms and a vintage beaded jacket).
I loved my gold glitter heels so much that I caved and bought the leopard versions that I've been wanting all along. A sale combined with a special Fashion's Night Out discount sweetened the deal, and as I left the store with them, I was already planning several outfits with them in mind. Looking through my cloest today, I realized that leopard, lace, and fringe take up a disproportionate amount of space. What can I say? I have an affinity for animal printed footwear, I find fringe fun to twirl around in, and I'm drawn to the intrigue and femininity that lace exudes.
