One style lesson that I learned from my trip to Paris was that a scarf can instantly transform an outfit. French women seem to adore their scarves, using them in myriad ways to add personality to their ensembles. The weather in Paris was chilly during my trip, and I found myself taking inspiration from the Parisians by wearing a scarf each day to keep warm and add color to my looks. So when Toni suggested that we wear the Jason Wu for Target scarf in our Twin Tuesday feature, I was thrilled to revive it from the depths of my scarf drawer and style it in a new way.
Here's a little peek at how we're both wearing it. I love that we both went with a black and white color scheme.
Ray-Bans, Jason Wu for Target cat scarf (sold out, here's a cute alternative), Merona cardigan, Zara boyfriend jeans (I also have these), Prabal Gurung for Target wedges (similar in black), and Merona handbag
What's fun about a large and lightweight scarf like this is that it can be worn in so many different ways, and since it's still warm outside, I tried it out as a halter top. I wish my halter top creation was based on experience and expertise, but the truth is that I just lucked out on my first try. My method? A fold along the diagonal, some draping with a knot tied around my neck, another knot tied around my lower back, a few adjustments, and voilà!
