Ode To Summer 2012
It wasn't until someone asked me "how was your summer?" that I was prompted to reflect back upon the past few months. In retrospect, I was fortunate to have three vacations (two to Las Vegas and one to the central California coast) as the highlights of my summer. While I live for vacations and the opportunity to travel, it's also the everyday moments and experiences that bring me happiness and serve as the highlights. For example: a hilltop view of the Hollywood sign on an unusually smog-free day, the perfect breakfast sandwich and fruit salad, keeping busy with D.I.Y. denim projects, styling a colorful mix of jewelry with a bright manicure, enjoying the ocean view from afar, or finding the perfect pair of go-with-anything ankle boots. As we edge closer to fall, I'm happily anticipating the chilly breeze, the chance to pair oversized cashmere blend knits with everything, watching the leaves turn colors, and enjoying intense autumn sunsets. You can bet that I'll be capturing any details or moments that I find beautiful via my Instagram.

I feel like the ones who say "how was your summer?" are the ones who go back to school! Hee hee. It's funny to hear people say summer is over when summer isn't officially over until the end of september. Or maybe it's just the fact that in Fresno, summer lasts forever and so it feels like it never ends. :) Love this compilation of photos. Where are those scarf print pants from? I love those! <3

Looks like a really great summer to me! How did you like the Madonna Inn? My family always vacationed in Morro Bay & Cayucos when I was growing up and my Dad went to Cal Poly... so I've spent an immense amount of time over there. Yet, I've never been to the Madonna. I hear their decor is awesome!
