I clearly remember wearing a pair of red plaid jeans that I cherished as a teenager. Unfortunately, I didn't hold onto them, but fortunately, I did find this pair at H&M. For me, two things instantly come to mind on the subject of plaid: punk influences with studs and safety pins, and schoolgirl uniforms with pleated skirts. Given my rekindled love of anything with studs (I recently bought 1,100 studs on eBay for D.I.Y. projects), I can appreciate the dainty studs on the collar and placket of this blouse. It strikes the ideal balance between ladylike and edgy, while giving a slight nod to both schoolgirl and punk references. As we move closer to fall, I'm excited to incorporate more studs and more plaid into my closet.

I don't think that print of Plaid could look cuter on anyone else but you!!! I like how you styled it with the more feminine blouse (but still having the undertones of that punk rock vibe with the studs) still very chic though!!

When I saw these pants I totally thought of the 90's. Although you'd maybe need a wallet chain to punk it out even more. :P I love the contrast of rock and girly with the blouse and those boots are so cute! I think I might get the taupe because I have so many black boots. <3

ahhhh i just love these pants. so much. i've been lusting after plaid pants since...like, high school. i don't know why i don't have a pair yet! have yet to find the perfect one.
