I have Isabel Marant (among other designers) to blame for my fringe obsession this year. Its impracticality combined with the movement it creates while walking (and twirling) intrigues me.  After spotting these fringe leggings on Asos last month, I finally decided to buy them. On the topic of Asos, I have a shopping confession to make. Due to the seemingly endless supply of pieces to browse on Asos, I dislike placing an order for just one item. There are always multiple things from Asos on my wish list and with their reasonable prices, it just makes more sense for me to buy more than one item at a time. The other piece in my order? A lace dress with a neckline inspired by Kate Middleton's wedding gown, with the result being much more edgy than it sounds, mainly due to the bright raspberry hue, skater dress silhouette, and short hemline. (See the earlier post for a photo of me wearing it to EmergeLA.)

These suede boots are the newest addition to my closet.  They're simple and versatile, unlike some of my shoe selections, yet I can imagine them with just about all of the outfits I'll be wearing as the weather begins to cool.  I'm excited to pair them with everything from my new gorilla-sleeved coat to floral dresses with tights or even vintage silky blouses and flared denim.

*Please have a look at my fall 2011 trend roundup over on the Vintage Funk and Junk blog, where I share some of my favorite fall trends, their runway origins, and how I'm wearing them.
