Lace, Fringe & Leopard
Lace, fringe, and leopard are the ultimate trifecta. Each one worn on their own can take on a whole different vibe: classic, demure, edgy, or bohemian, but together they create a mood that's equal parts rocker and hippie. Fringe is one of those embellishments that necessitates such mindless behavior as twirling around in circles, jumping in the air, and letting the fringe get caught in whatever comes its way (car doors, drawer handles, my dog's mouth, etc). Admittedly, this vest was one of those rare buys I found at Forever 21 a long time ago that not only surprised me by being made of real suede, but it's also a silhouette that I expected to find at a flea market long before I'd ever spot it at Forever 21. It comes in handy for dressing up a plain black body con dress or a printed maxi dress, depending on my mood.
The lace bell bottoms are unexpectedly comfortable, and while the flared leg silhouette elongates the leg and balances out the hips, it does one thing that I'm not fond of - it covers my beloved shoes. Being the footwear aficionado that I am, this is something that will take a while to come to terms with. Who knows? By that time, skinny jeans will be the style du jour again.
