As much as I enjoy shopping at fast fashion retailers such as H&M and Forever 21, I have a growing predilection for vintage and secondhand clothing. The abundance of thrift stores near me certainly doesn't help with my new addiction to thrifting, although I feel very fortunate to have access to multiple sources of inexpensive vintage apparel and accessories. With some energy and patience, I've been able to find some amazing pieces, including a vintage Dior dress, a 1970s Diane von Furstenberg shirtdress, 1980s sequin tunics, a flower crochet sweater, and my beloved black silk beaded jacket. The fact that I discovered each piece myself and that they're one-of-a-kind finds makes them all the more special.
This weekend, I thrifted a few things that I'm excited to wear, including this vintage floral dress, which I styled here as a high-low hem/fishtail dress. The floral print drew me in, and I immediately knew I'd change it from a conservative mid-calf dress into a more modern silhouette.
I also want to thank each one of you who entered my dress giveaway and made it a success!
